For over a decade, I lived in survival mode: burned out, overachieving, chronically fatigued, battling mystery illnesses, digestive issues, & a constant ache & disenchantment with life I couldnāt name.Ā
I chased healing through plant medicine, substances, & New Age spirituality, thinking I was seeking truth & love, but I was really just trying to fix a God-sized wound with worldly tools. I consumed every self-development/ spirituality book, podcast, & course. I got certified in numerous modalities & practices, hoping to finally feel whole. But no matter how much I achieved or how much shadow work & trauma healing I did, I was still striving, numb, disconnected, & exhausted.Ā
My identity was built on sand & I didnāt even know it. Then I encountered Jesus & everything changed. Over the last 3 years, He has rebuilt me from the inside out. I discovered who I truly am in Him: beloved, whole, radiant with joy, purpose & freedom!Ā
Itās not that life got easier, but peace entered my wilderness, his perfect love softened the striving & inner critic, & truth gave me an unshakable foundation & anchor. I no longer chase relationships that arenāt for me or seek the approval of others. Iām rooted in Him now. Sober-minded, Spirit-led, & held in His love.
Fasting has been one of the most sacred tools in this transformation. Through 72-hour fasts & beyond, God has broken cycles of self-reliance, lifted emotional fog, mental clutter & drawn me near to His presence in a way I never thought possible. This is what the Freedom Fast is about! Itās not just a physical cleanse, but a holy invitation into soul restoration. When we quiet the flesh, the Spirit begins to move & speak.
